This is as comprehensive a list of updates as I can provide. It doesn't include updating of the statistics, since I tend to update those as and when I get betters or practice a skill.

Update: 8th April 2008:

Added speedwalks between all the major towns. Clicking your chosen town on the map will show all speedwalks from and to that location. Obviously there's some duplication here, as Rune to New Rigel is the same as New Rigel from Rune, for example. I'll add some speedwalks within locations at some stage, as well as a page with all the speedwalks as a single file.


Update: 7th April 2008:

I've added a section for speedwalks. So far it only contains ones that involve New Rigel, but now I've got a format sorted the rest should follow soon. They're grouped by town (from and to) and you can view them by clicking the required location on a map.


Update: 5th Apr 2008:

I came across an updated version of the JMC mud client. I've been using version 3.26, but version 3.5.2 has several nice updates including multiple output windows, some enhanced logging features, more status windows and some extra scripting functionality.

It's been a while since I've had time to to anything to the site, but I'm hoping to be able to devote a little more time to it now. Today I've added a section for JMC client scripts, and the first one I've added is an experience counter so you can keep an eye on when your next level is coming up - pefect for helping you remember to equip your levelling gear.


Update: 18th Feb 2007:

Made some significant changes to the front page, including a banner to Materia Magica, a button to the Firefox web browser (not required to view the site, but my personal preference), and buttons to the W3C markup and css validators. I also moved the link to validate each page from the navigation bar to the footer, as it doesn't really count as content. Created a JMC Client page for the JMC mud client. Will be adding some scripts and whatnot to this in due course. Finally, I added a link back to the home page in the navigation bar, as I didn't think it was immediately obvious that clicking the VFC logo would take you there.


Update: 17th Feb 2007:

Split the links page into two sections - MM Links and Other Links. Also added an updates page that shows all the updates that I've made to the site, not just the top 3. Plus, "you are here" bar is now an unordered list rather than a bunch of links and pipes. Adjusted style sheet accordingly (and altered a few other things with it).


Update: 11th Feb 2007:

Modified the spells and proficiencies pages so that they can be sorted by clicking on the column header you wish to order the list by. This uses some javascript that I modified from the Table Sort demo from BrainJar.com, so thanks very much to them.


Update: 10th Feb 2007:

Added a new section to VFC - the Gallery. It's a collection of art that I've made and published on the Materia Magica message boards over the years. Enjoy :D


Update: 3rd Feb 2007:

It's been a while since I've made any updates to the site, as you can see. I guess I ran out of inspiration, and also free time. I was intending to submit it for the website contest on the Materia Magica site, but I didn't bother in the end. Looking at some of the winning entries, it's probably just as well I didn't.

Anyway, New to the site are the section images that replace the rather tacky log image that used to feature on each page. It's also worth noting that my previous problems with the border and whatnot seem to have been resolved by Microsoft releasing a new version of Internet Explorer - guess it wasn't my fault after all :D

I'm also planning to add a front-page to the site, where I'll stick some banners and images that I don't want on the rest of the pages for visual reasons (stuff like the WC3 pics and MM banners). Anyway, that's it for now.


Update: 2nd Sep 2005:

Ok, first off, the more observant among you may have noticed the site has moved to a new host. Actually, it's hard to imagine not noticing since I don't have a domain name, heh. Also, I've run all the pages through the W3C validator and they all now pass (had to make a few amendments again). I'll put a link up for that at some point.
I still didn't fix that strange idiosyncracy on the links page, and I've also noticed that due to my efforts to get the page looking right in Firefox, there's a problem with the title image moving around the page in IE when you resize it so it doesn't all fit on the page horizontally. Ironically, everything seems perfect in Firefox now. Still, that's probably a good thing. Now, on to putting some content up!!!


Update: 31st Aug 2005:

Seems I ballsed a few things up, since when I tried to view it in Firefox it was all messed up (thanks Teefa). Sorted that out now, although the border thingy is still bothering me. Seems the links section is the part that's right and the others are wrong - it all looks fine in Firefox. Also, I ran the index page through the W3C validator and it was all good apart from the bloomin' Geocities thingy they stick up here (after a few corrections to stupid errors, that is). I'll have to make the same corrections to the rest of the site. Stay tuned.


Update: 30th Aug 2005:

Cleaned some things up behind the scenes and messed around with the navigation a little. Having some trouble with the layout on the links page that's got me foxed at the moment. Will try and sort it out another day :P

Added score, spells and proficiencies information to the site and re-jigged the navigation stuff accordingly.
